Our Florence Wedding Guest Guide & Travel Tips! Dear Family and Friends, We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in Italy! To help you plan your travel and make the most of your time in Tuscany, we’ve put together a few recommendations and some important details regarding your stay. The Game Plan: Thursday in Florence Our wedding weekend at the villa officially begins this Friday. To ensure everyone has a chance to settle in and shake off any jet lag, we highly recommend arriving in Florence on Thursday. Spending Thursday night in the city is a great way to experience the magic of Florence before we head to the countryside together on Friday. Please note that staying in the city on Thursday is completely optional, and you are welcome to choose any hotel that fits your preference. Important Note on Accommodations • Thursday Night: This is the only night you would need to book a hotel room for yourself. • Friday – Monday: Once we arrive at the villa on Friday, all rooms and accommodations are taken care of and paid for by us! You do not need to book any lodging for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights. Where to Stay (Thursday Night - Optional) If you choose to arrive Thursday, here are a few recommended options at various price points: Marriott & Hilton Options: • Luxury (800€+): St. Regis Florence or Hotel Lungarno • Moderate (400€–800€): Sina Villa Medici, W Florence, or Hotel Regency • Economical (200€–400€): A C Hotels Firenze or Anglo American Hotel Boutique & Independent Gems: • Luxury: Helvetia & Bristol Firenze or Grand Hotel Minerva • Moderate: Gallery Hotel Art or Ponte Vecchio Suites & Spa • Economical: Hotel Hermitage or Hotel degli Orafi Getting to the Villa (Friday) For your journey from the city to the villa on Friday, here are the best transportation options: 1. Private Transfer (App: Transfeero): ~300€ one way. We recommend this over Uber, as it tends to be more reliable and affordable in Florence. 2. Public Taxi: ~240€ one way. 3. Luxury Chauffeur (App: Blacklane): ~450€ one way. Quick Tip: Florence is incredibly walkable! Most of these hotels are within a 15-minute stroll of the major sights, so you can easily explore on Thursday and Friday morning before we head to the villa.
