Holiday Greetings from #WeddingWednesday! Today’s show was full of holiday cheer, right down to our festive hats. Today we had a great signature cocktail and DIY inspired by the holidays but that can be used all year long as well as some great seasonal bargain shopping ideas.
Signature Cocktail: Cranberry Mimosa
Our signature cocktail is a spin on a traditional favorite, here at #weddingwednesday we really love to remake a classic! This refreshing drink makes a beautiful signature cocktail. Another great idea is to offer a “mimosa bar” at your wedding. To do this simply have the champagne poured and offer a variety of different juices!
Ingredients
- Champagne
- Cranberry juice (or grapefruit, peach, etc
Directions:
- Fill glass with champagne
- Top with your choice of juice
- CHEERS!
DIY: Holiday Inspired Centerpiece
For our DIY today we made a holiday inspired center piece using cranberries and various gold floral pieces found at the craft store. As we have been discussing the past few weeks, this is such a great time to shop for wedding decor and other items, there are so many great sales! Aside from sales stores like Michaels and Target are full of decor that can easily be used for a wedding, like the gold in this centerpiece. This particular centerpiece lends itself to a winter wedding but your could pair the gold (gold will be huge in 2016 weddings) with any color for a wedding during any season. The beauty of this arrangement is it is very budget friendly, costing only about $15 per arrangement.
Supplies:
- Vase
- Cranberries or other colorful filler (rocks etc, be creative)
- Gold/silver floral pieces
Instructions:
- Fill vase with the bottom filler (cranberries, etc)
- Arrange the floral pieces
- Enjoy!
