Located in Cape Town, the modern MannaBay  consists of only eight rooms. It is located high on the slopes of Table Mountain, boasting views of the city and the mountains behind.

Each room is sumptuously and uniquely decorated with it’s own theme: a favorite among travellers is the Pom Pom Room (favored not just for its design, but for the private pool!).

An absolute must is dinner in the underground wine cellars: a converted dining area that was once a secret passageway.

Australia – Halcyon House

Gold Coast Australia

Halcyon meaning: denoting a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful, perfectly captures this bright, colorful and texture rich take on an updated 1960’s motel.

Guests arriving at Halcyon House are greeted with an ice cream cart offering flavors made daily, a nod to nostalgia and the area; a quiet beach town.

The area sits between the glitz of the Gold Coast and laid back Byron Bay, a perfect spot to take one of the complimentary bikes and ride through the town of Kingscliff or to travel to Byron Bay and visit the lighthouse, Australia’s most easterly point.

However a trip to Halcyon House is not complete without a meal at their in-house restaurant, Paper Daisy, a destination unto itself.
