DIY Project: Gold Vases

IMG_4240

This is a beautiful and cost effective approach to centerpieces. Using jars you collect–pickle jars, jam jars, etc.– and a can of spray paint, you can make unique and fun centerpieces at almost no cost! If needed, add to your collection with jars on sale at craft stores, especially if you want to round out your look with a specific shaped jar. We love the look of grouping several different shaped jars together for your centerpiece, making each table unique.  A fun idea is to send those vases home with guests as a thank you!  Don’t forget to check local wholesale flower marts, Costco, even local public fields for seasonal, fresh and reasonably priced flowers.

Supplies:

  1. Assorted shaped jars
  2. Gold spray paint (metallic and glitter)
  3. Clear tape
  4. Flowers

Instructions:

  1. Choose which jars you would like to have “stripes” and apply tape
  2. Spray paint jars
  3. Allow them to fully dry
  4. Apply 1 to 2 more coats depending on the desired look
  5. Add flowers
  6. ENJOY!

Great blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?

I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..

    Any ideas? Thank you!
