Hi honeyfunders! Hang on to your hats and glasses, because today, for the very first time, Josh and I going to start sharing our extensive experience using travel rewards programs to fund your honeymoon. This is one of the best honeymoon hacks around! Second only to your honeyfund, of course. 🙂
Travel rewards programs are everywhere. Since American Airline’s started their Frequent Flier program in 1981, every travel company (and their brother) has developed a program. So pick your favorite hotel brand, car rental company, airline, and make sure you’re signed up in their programs.
If you haven’t done enough traveling to know which brands you love most, don’t worry. There are some really rewarding ways to try them out!
Open a rewards-branded credit card (look for current offers here!)
Watch rewards programs for promotional offers, and sign up then
I’m happy to answer any of your questions, and again thrilled to start bringing you some great insider info on using rewards programs to make your honeymoon happen!
#WeddingWednesday ep 12. Spring inspired lemon drops and DIY mini champagne favors.
Happy Wednesday! What a great episode we had this week. Our hosts both spent a week out of town and brought some fun ideas inspired by their travels. Our signature cocktail, a fresh take on the lemon drop, will have you craving spring! And our DIY is a double cost-saving idea.
Both Sara & Caitie spent time out of town last week, and had some fun experiences to share with viewers. Caitie spent a week in Darby, Montana and shared the story of Bandit Brewery (on instagram @jc,bandit beer). While Sara was in Scottsdale she found herself partying in a western-themed event space. This made us think about how fun it is to incorporate those things that help define you as a couple into your wedding venues. Like local beer? Find a small brewery with a cool backstory to provide the beer and help publicize for them. Enjoy country music? Why not find a venue that reflects that?
Signature Cocktail: Raspberry Lemon Drop
This is such a gorgeous and festive cocktail for any spring event. It is a refreshing spin on the traditional lemon drop. We picture this cocktail at a bridal shower — or as a signature cocktail at a spring wedding.
Muddle lemon, raspberries and sugar
Add with vodka and ice to a shaker and shake
Pour into martini glass
