My husband and daughter came down with the flu on our wedding night! Lol. I spent the evening running baths, taking temperatures and making chicken soup. Two years later and one more baby down a honeymoon redo would be amazing but we would be happy with any of the wonderful prizes. Good luck to every couple!

This would be a great second Honeymoon for us. Not only to celebrate our first anniversary but also to celebrate my husband being done with his cancer treatments. At the time last June prior to us getting married we found out my husband had cancer, the wonderful man he is he told me I did not have to marry him and I told him he was crazy. We did not let anyone know till we made it through the wedding and honeymoon which we took in Eastern Oregon..golfing, horseback riding, hiking and white water rafting. His treatments started right after that trip and we are now just waiting for him to be totally cancer free. So this would help us celebrate that day and the rest of our lives.

Our wedding is coming up so soon now, May 27th. We are both so very excited. Thank you Honeyfund for being there, it’s much better for us than a traditional registry as we are a bit uncomfortable with asking for money. Our honeymoon will be in the Philippines so my darling can visit her mom who has stage 4 lung cancer. It will be the first time in 10months she will have seen her. Honeyfund has been a fantastic platform to ask friends and family to donate money towards our ‘big day’ without actually feeling like we were necessarily asking them for money. We felt much happier in offering our guests a website to look at, something we had put time and effort into creating and personalising. My wife and I have been living together for 19 years, so our household has everything we need. Soon after we sent wedding invitations in February, 2016, the calls, texts, and emails came in…”What can we get you?” I was shamed into putting a registry together, and dreaded every minute of it. I couldn’t procrastinate any longer, and google searched “wedding registry ideas” . Wow, Honeyfund was perfect!. It took me 10 minutes to google search hotels, restaurants, spas, and things to do in Capri, Italy. We loaded them onto the website and sent the link to family and friends. The gifts started coming in, and we were excited to see our friends Louise and Boris were sending us on the Capri Boat Tour, and Carl and Mary Jo were sending us to the Blue Grotto. WAY better than receiving a toaster and a blender! Easy for everyone!!!

About to celebrate our 2 year anniversary! We celebrated with a wonderful honeymoon that we set up with a Honeyfund account back then, so we’re already registered! However, we got pregnant 5 months right after getting married, so we haven’t had time to vacation, go anywhere, or do anything exciting since then, so anything offered to us or anything we win would be much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed!! My fiance’ and I met in Chicago at Soldier Field 1995, at what was the last time we seen Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, play before he died. In fact, Jim sold his Sunday ticket (which was the last time Jerry played) to be with me! Talk about LOVE!!
A short time after that Jim’s physical health declined. At 47, he was using a walker to get around and within the next year, he was home bound and using a wheelchair. He needed bi-lateral hip replacement surgery. With out insurance and a doctor to help, that help seemed like a long shot. He became very depressed and as hard as it is to say, he didn’t want to live this way. It was heartbreaking to see him live in this condition.
Well, I am relieved to say that Jim did get the help he so desperately needed a year ago. With a lot of HARD work and help from re-hab, Jim is doing much better. I call him my ” SUPER UBER DUPER MAN” 🙂 During this time our finances have taken an extremely hard hit because of Jim’s physical hardship and working was not an option and he has been waiting for his social security benefits to come to fruition since 2010, so I have been taking on the full responsibility of the household and finances.
I have some how by the grace of God and frugality, I have manage to pull off our wedding for LESS than $5,000 from start to finish! Needless to say an ACTUAL/REAL “get away” vacation would be a FIRST for us in 21 years! We would be like the couple we were when we first met!

Hello! I am Entering for a chance to win because this would be a perfect opportunity for my fiancé and I to give ourself a break. We both work extremely hard. Him 6, maybe 7 days a week . Myself just as hard to provide for our little family. We often don’t take the opportunity to enjoy the little things in life because our schedules are so booked between our wedding planning and work.
