Current Open Positions:

As a software engineering lead/manager at Honeyfund, you will lead major projects for Honeyfund and Plumfund from our Sebastopol office. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, leading architecture improvements, process improvements, and writing code as needed. You will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team. You will help guide the way to bigger and better technical accomplishments for the company, including website, mobile app development, data design & analysis, networking, infrastructure and more.

Whatever technologies, languages, or development environments you’ve been using, we expect you have mastered them in depth, and we expect that you will be able to master any technology, language, or development environment that we need in the future, quickly. Your expertise will help guide the rest of the team to high quality solutions delivered quickly.

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Manage a team of software engineers, including task planning and code reviews.
  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects.
  • Approving and deploying website and mobile app changes.
  • Coordinating infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
  • Work closely with product design team to ensure we are building the best products possible.
  • Contribute as an engineer on projects.

About you...

  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 7+ years experience building polished consumer-facing software.
  • You have incredible coding skills. Your programming ability is way above average, as demonstrated by a continuous string of successful projects.
  • You have lead a team of engineers on several technical projects.
  • You are comfortable working on both low-level functions and architecting a large system involving multiple technologies.
  • You have excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • You care about delighting the user.
  • You've created significant web application projects.
  • Optimal candidates will have experience with most of the following technologies: LAMP stack, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, React, CSS3, HTML, PhoneGap/Cordova, AWS for S3 and CloudFront, jQuery, and Bootstrap.

As a front-end developer at Honeyfund, you will help design, develop, and implement the code for Honeyfund and Plumfund. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation of HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript development on consumer facing websites and will bring our team up a few notches.

  • You have solid coding skills.
  • You are comfortable with JavaScript, jQuery, MVC frameworks, CSS3, and HTML.

  • Optimal candidates will have experience with most of the following technologies: jQuery, React, and Bootstrap.

You will be working with the Sales and Marketing teams to assist with daily activities including deployment of advertising and marketing campaigns.

Major responsibilities of the job:

  • Assist customers with implementation of advertising placements and/or partnerships.
  • Handle insertion orders, creative specs, and customer inquiries regarding ad placements.
  • Perform data entry and maintain client database.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.
  • Assist sales staff in creating/editing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Arrange meetings and conference rooms.
  • Interface with engineering team on deployment of new ad placements.
  • Perform marketing research.
  • Develop and deploy marketing e-mail blasts.
  • Assist with social media and blog posts.

Schedule: Four days/week, 4-5 hours/day by arrangement in our Sebastopol office.

Requirements: Advanced undergraduate or graduate students in sales or marketing.

You will be answering e-mail and phone questions from customers in a professional, friendly and timely manner. We are looking for someone who can think like a customer — and help them succeed in setting up or giving to a honeyfund. This is the most important job in our company!

Major responsibilities of the job (time spent):

  • Answer inbound customer service e-mails by responding via e-mail or telephone. (60%)
  • Take inbound phone calls from customers. (20%)
  • Manage e-mail inboxes by following up and resolving old issues. (10%)
  • Other tasks (10%)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5 hours per day and Sunday 5 hours. Work from home. This is a moderately supervised position. There is no supervisory responsibility with this position.

Minimum 2 years customer service experience is required. You must be proficient in:
