PayPal admits they sometimes reject valid credit cards. They tell us it's part of their security algorithm and they can't do anything about it. Therefore we suggest you write a check and mail it directly to the couple, or bring it to the wedding. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Sometimes gift givers receive a “Retry” message from PayPal instead of the credit card form. Usually this corrects itself after refreshing the page several times. If that doesn't work, try accessing the page from a different browser or computer. (Check your gift e-mail from Honeyfund for a link back to your gift.)
Please describe your problem to us using this form.
To get back to your gift certificate, click the link in your gift confirmation e-mail from Honeyfund. If you did not receive this e-mail, please check your spam folder. If it's not there, and it's been more than one hour since you selected your gift, contact us.
If you didn't get the credit card payment option, it's because the couple chose not to enable online payments. We give couples the choice because online payments incur a fee from PayPal. You can either drop a check in the mail or bring cash/check to the wedding along with your Honeyfund gift certificate.

We designed Honeyfund to protect your registry until you are ready for guests to find it. When your registry is ready, you must publish it, which then makes it available via the Give A Gift search. When you click Publish, you'll see instructions for publishing your honeymoon registry.
First, see which payment option your gift giver selected on the View Gifts page. If it was a PayPal purchase, check that the PayPal e-mail address you provided Honeyfund is correct. It should be the same as the e-mail address you use to login to PayPal (see below if the e-mail address was wrong).
Next, login to your PayPal account and click the History tab to search for the transaction. If you don't see the transaction in your PayPal account, it's possible the gift giver failed to complete the payment process on PayPal's website. You can generate a reminder e-mail from Honeyfund by clicking the Edit icon (pencil and paper) on the View Gifts page and following the Remind instructions.
What to do if your PayPal e-mail address was wrong
The e-mail address you enter in your Honeyfund payment settings is where your gift money is sent when a gift giver pays for your gift with a credit card. If there was a mistake and the e-mail address you gave Honeyfund is NOT the e-mail address on your PayPal account, here's what you can do:
If you choose to accept online payments through PayPal, you will need a Premier or Business-type account, and will receive the money directly into your PayPal account. Then you will then need to use one of their withdrawal methods to retrieve the money. There is no fee to the gift giver for paying online. However PayPal will deduct ~3% from each gift.
From time to time couples will see a bogus gift show up in their account. Usually it's someone who wants to find out how Honeyfund works. They'll type in a name in the search and then make a bogus gift. You can restore the gift quantity using the pencil and paper icon on your Our Registry page. And use the red X to delete the gift from your View Gifts page.
You delete the duplicate gift from the View Gifts page by clicking the red X. Then you can restore the gift quantity using the pencil and paper icon on your Our Registry page.
You can generate a reminder e-mail from Honeyfund by clicking the Edit icon (pencil and paper) on the View Gifts page and following the Remind instructions. Note: Cash/check payment reminders are available after the wedding.
For security purposes we keep your password info in an encrypted form, so we aren't able to send that to you. However if you click the "Get Help" link on the Sign In page you can enter your e-mail address that will give you instructions for resetting your password. Click the check box next to "Remember me on this computer" when you sign in, so you won't have to re-enter your password again.
